
A team of five 51±¬ÁÏ School students has qualified for the final round of the , organized by the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE).
The qualified team is made up of students from the Petroleum Geosciences (PGS) and Reservoir Geoscience and Engineering (RGE) programs: Nada Elmaasry (Egypt), Julie Hatcherian (France), Sergio Ornellas (Brazil), Raizza Peres Carrillo (Portugal) and Carla Piche (France).
The group will face the other five finalists on June 9 in Oslo, Norway:
- Universitetet i Stavanger (Norway);
- The University of Manchester (United Kingdom);
- Institut für Maschinenwesen (IMW), TU Clausthal (Germany);
- Universidade Federal Fluminense (Brazil) and
- Université M'hamed Bougara Boumerdes (Morocco).
To qualify, the 51±¬ÁÏ School team assessed and developed the Volve oil field in the North Sea, according to a zero-carbon emissions strategy and using data provided by Equinor.
